Best Travel Shoes Reviews 2019

Merrell Barrado

Perfect city walking shoes – lightweight, breathable, comfortable. Casual, but also stylish. I can walk for hours in these shoes. Works well with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses. Available in a variety of colours. Select a neutral or dark colour for most versatility. I love the Merrell Barrados.

Merrell Barrado Luxe

Like the Merrell Barrados, they are perfect city walking shoes – lightweight, breathable, comfortable. The difference, they have a leather upper, so are waterproof and therefore great to wear in any weather. Though, being leather, means they are more rigid and slightly less comfortable. Also work well with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses. Available in a variety of colours. Select a neutral or dark colour for most versatility.

Merrell Moab 2 Gore-Tex

The Merrell Moab 2 Gore-Tex are fantastic hiking boots. They have the best grip, so are great across any terrain. They are also waterproof, so you can wear them in wet or dry conditions. They are super comfortable, and I have hiked for hours in them. For example, on the Inca Trail in Peru, Mount Fuji in Japan, and Mount Kosciuszko in Australia. You could also wear them for day hikes in the USA. Although the Merrell Moab 2 Gore-Tex are hiking boots, they look more like sneakers because they are low cut. This makes them so versatile when your travels involves a mix of hiking and city sightseeing. They pair well with pants and shorts.

Birkenstock Florida

The most comfortable sandals of all time. I can walk for hours in these shoes. They are great for city walking. But also because of the fantastic grip, they are good over changing terrain or in wet conditions. The three straps are adjustable, which allows you to get the perfect fit. They come in a variety of colours. I recommend a dark or neutral colour for most versatility. Great with pants, shorts, skirts and dresses. I love the Birkenstock Florida.

Wittner Cedric Ballet Flats

A good pair of ballet flats is a must in any travel bag, especially for any slightly formal occasion. They work well with a party dress, and you can dress them down with a pair of jeans or shorts.

New Balance 624v5

A pair of sneakers gives you a little more support than walking shoes, and a little less support than hiking shoes – the perfect medium. Great for city walking with a mix of nature walks. Having a leather upper means they are suitable for rain, hail or shine.
